Anorexia is a serious mental illness affecting people of any gender, age or background. As well as restricting amounts of food, people may excessively exercise. Some people may experience cycles of bingeing and purging. Sufferers can often have a distorted image of themselves, and think they’re larger than they really are.
The Anorexic Voice is a set of short documentary films exploring the ways in which the condition can manifest. Told through the personal testimony of three brave women, Emma, Julie and Tina, who have faced it head on.
